Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.

~Samuel Johnson

If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.

~Ernest Hemingway

My husband and I are embarking on a new life as young academics in London. Making a Movable Feast is my attempt to create a collection of our experiences – big and small – as we take London for all it has to offer. The topics of the blog are our passions outside of our love for economics: art & life, food + drink, health : happiness, and travel.

Making a Movable Feast is written by Emily.  I receive remuneration for some of the links I post from time to time. All the views and opinions expressed on this blog are my own and are not affiliated or associated in any way with any other organization. My thoughts have not been commissioned, paid for, tortured out of me, or elicited in any other manner other than my own will and volition to put them on display.
